Second draft: Eating Midnight Snack is No Longer the Taboo of Losing Weight?


Normally, midnight snack is a crucial taboo for losing weight; however, a doctor, who names Huan, recommended losing weight by having midnight snack. He claimed that assimilating food with high protein in two hours before sleep can help burn fat as we are sleeping.

Doctor Huan originally weighted 128kg; after he created this method to lose weight, he cast away 50kg. “Protein-rich food enables amino acid to stimulate growth hormone,” he explained, “Then is able to get up to promote the basal metabolic rate.” According to his menu of midnight snack, there is inclusive of egg, meat and tea.

One of my roommates eats midnight snack every day. “I just cannot control my desire of having midnight snack; however, I also want to lose weight so I tried the method which doctor Huan suggested,” she said, “but the result really disappointed me, I get fatter.”

The everyday midnight snacks of my roommate are a bottle of sugar-free green tea with pancake or chicken steak, completely in accordance with the list that doctor Huan suggested. However, instead of losing weight, my roommate got the opposite results.


How to lose weight is a significant matter for everyone in every age group. Nevertheless, having midnight snack is also an important part of one’s daily life, especially in the phase of college. Rather than believe in such kind of methods, we should control our desire of eating midnight snack. The best ways of keeping in good shape are exercising more as well as having normal three meals.
